Dr. Gonsalvez is the CEO & Rector at the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI), an education and research center founded by the Malaysian government and the Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2011 in Shah Alam, Malaysia.  MISI is a member of the MIT Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence network.

From 2010-2014, he was the Executive Director in charge of MIT’s Zaragoza Logistics Center(ZLC) in Zaragoza, Spain which has been ranked as the best Logistics post graduate education program in Spain for the past five years.

Prior to that he was the Director of Global Supply Chain Strategy, at General Motors responsible for supply chain strategy, planning, and security in GM's supply chains worldwide. He retired from GM after a 25 year career in 2008.


Dr. Gonsalvez has a B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Ohio State University.
